Web-Based Fax:
What Does it Mean for You

Imagine being on the road, and receiving a message on your cell phone that you have received a facsimile. You pull off the road, use your cell phone to bring up the fax and read it. You call the individual who sent the fax and leave a voicemail that you will sign and return the document shortly.

When you get to the hotel where you're staying, you forward that fax from your cell phone just as you would any email attachment, to the hotel printer. You sign the document and fax it back to your own inbox then forward it on to the original sender using just your cell phone. You have just established an "electronic paper trail" that can be verified and recorded.

  When Faxing: Think Web
You may be familiar with some of the benefits of using a web-based fax solution, such as the ability to no longer funnel all of your company faxes through chokepoints known as traditional fax machines. But there are far more benefits in flexibility, productivity and cost savings beyond being able to print faxes from your PC.

IP: Making Life Easier One Fax at a Time

After all, a fax is nothing but an image file sent as a data packet. And IP Fax can route important documents wherever they need to go, without a complicated and expensive hardware deployment.

Web-based Fax: What it Means to you
Web-based fax enables all employees to receive faxes on their own personal devices, including desktops, laptops and even cell phones (assuming their phone has the capability of accessing their desktop). That means faxes are sent and received on-demand. More importantly, when faxes are no longer printing out in common areas, confidential documents are no longer misplaced or viewed by the wrong person.
