4000 Series

The March Networks 4000 Series DVR Systems include the Models 4210 DVR, 4310 DVR, and the 4410 DVR.  All of these systems are essentially identical, with the capacity to support up to 16 cameras, with the primary difference in the Frames per Second (fps) captured by each unit.  The 4210 DVR support 60 fps, while the 4310 DVR supports 120 fps, and the 4410 DVR supports up to 240 fps.  Most applications only require support for 60 fps.  Followings are more details on each of the units and their respective characteristics.

4210 DVR

The March Networks 4210 DVR is an IP-networked video recorder for customers who want the latest in digital video management and storage capabilities, in a system that provides a flexible capture rate of 60 fps across 16 cameras. Add in extensive internal and external storage, and a unique docking-station design for more fault-free operation and unmatched ease of maintenance and service, and the 4210 DVR is the system that makes the switch from analog to digital video an obvious business decision.

Docking-station design, an innovation characteristic of all March Networks 4000 Series DVRs, allows cabling to remain in place on the 4210 DVR during servicing or upgrade, dramatically improving efficiency. An embedded Linux operating system, intelligent hardware and software watchdog circuitry, and built-in back-up battery add to the reliability of the system. 16 NTSC/PAL inputs are provided for video capture, and advanced H.263 or MPEG-4 compression stores this video very efficiently to scalable, high-capacity internal hard-drives. One through four drives can be installed, currently providing over 1.2 TB of internal storage in a fully configured system, with mirroring options for added peace of mind. External RAID-5 archiving is also offered for extended video record keeping.

Video resolution and frame rate are flexible with the 4210 DVR, from 3.5 fps on all 16 cameras up to 15 fps on 4 cameras. Per-camera frame rates can also be increase on alarms for high-quality event records. Alarms, switched outputs, data ports (for transaction integration and PTZ camera control) and two-way audio services are added as needed. Complete networking features, including bandwidth control to match LAN capabilities, comprehensive local and remote management, including full compatibility with our Enterprise Management Suite of multi-site management software, and local or remote export of video evidence to CD are just a few of the features that make this DVR such a 'workhorse'.

4310 DVR

The March Networks 4310 DVR is for customers with fairly active surveillance needs, requiring a range of advanced features as well as a range of video capture options in their networked Digital Video Recorder. With a flexible capture rate of 120 fps across 16 cameras, extensive internal and external storage, and a unique docking-station design for more fault-free operation and unmatched ease of maintenance and service, the 4310 DVR is the video system of choice for these monitoring and surveillance environments.
