The March Networks 3108 DVR is a networked, eight-camera, 60 frame-per-second system designed specifically for the video surveillance and monitoring needs of smaller businesses and branch offices - retail and convenience stores, bank branches and kiosks, smaller commercial or government facilities. The 3108 DVR provides enterprise-level video processing and storage capabilities in a wall-mount platform that is easy to install, use and maintain in these environments. This DVR features an embedded Linux operating system and intelligent hardware/software watchdog circuitry for maximum reliability. It offers isolated, individually-fused power for each of the eight cameras it supports, one monitor output, one two-way audio port, four alarm inputs and one switched output. Two data ports (RS-232 and RS-485) are also provided, for synchronizing video with banking ATM or retail POS transaction data, and for controlling PTZ cameras (joystick or on-screen). The 3108 DVR uses advanced H.263 or MPEG-4 compression to store video efficiently to a high-capacity internal hard drive (250 GB or 300 GB), and offers resolution and frame rate flexibility per camera (3.75 fps on all cameras, 15 fps on 4 cameras, 30 fps on 2 cameras) to meet a range of smaller-business monitoring and surveillance requirements. Per-camera frame rates can also be increase on alarms for high-quality event records. Complete networking features provide local and remote system access and control, and evidence images or clips can be exported to CD (in JPEG, BMP or secured .AVI formats) locally or remotely. All functionality is access controlled, and managed through the latest March Networks DVR Software, including our Enterprise Management Suite for our larger, multi-site customers. The 3108 DVR inter-works seamlessly with all other systems in the March Networks family, and provides essential video features and performance at a price that fits smaller CCTV budgets. |
